Scottsbluff   Parent-Day

Parents of children in Special Education are invited to a day-long series of FREE workshops.  Come, meet other parents and examine information helpful to you as you advocate for your school age child with a disability.

 

 

 

When:  Saturday, May 3rd

Where:   Educational Service Unit 13

4215 Avenue I ~ Scottsbluff, Nebraska

 

 

 

 

The Agenda:

8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

 

A Great IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act):

Learn how the federal law governing Special Education affects your child.

No Child Left Behind (NCLB) and Special Education:

Learn how NCLB impacts all students.

 

-- Refreshments and lunch will be provided --

 

The IEP:  Path to Success:

Parent involvement in the IEP.

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports:

Identify the need to teach positive Behavior Interventions as a skill to be learned.

 

 

 

Pre-registration is required by noon on Thursday, May 1st!
