Hello, Dolly! is the story of New York matchmaker Dolly Levi, who decides to arrange a match for herself.  She sets her sights on Horace Vandergelder, the well-known half-a-millionaire businessman from Yonkers.  Along the way she also matches up Vandergelder’s head clerk Cornelius Hackl with hat shop owner Irene Molloy; her assistant Minnie Fay with Vandergelder’s other employee, Barnaby Tucker; and Vandergelder’s niece Ermengarde with struggling artist Ambrose Kemper.

The musical is set in Vandergelder’s hay and feed store in Yonkers, in Mrs. Molloy’s hat shop in New York, and in the elegant restaurant the Harmonia Gardens.   The show features wonderful songs like “Put on Your Sunday Clothes,” “Before the Parade Passes By,” and, of course, “Hello, Dolly!”

Will Dolly succeed in capturing the heart of Mr. Vandergelder, so she can spread his money around like manure, encouraging young things to grow?

Join us in the Alliance High School auditorium on Friday or Saturday, April 25 and 26 at 7:00 PM, or for the Sunday, April 27, matinee at 2:00 PM.
