3 MARCH, 2008

I.      President Kollars called the Meeting to Order at 7:00 p.m.

         A. High School Student Council - Amy Watson -
            Posters for Cheerleader Competition, STUCO
            Elections, Girls State Basketball 2nd Place,
            Girls State Basketball Sportsmanship Award,
            Upcoming - Boys State Basketball, Speech
            District, Show Choir Trips

         B. Building Principals' Reports - Written Reports
            from Ocken and Cummings; Zarkowski - State
            Basketball Sportsmanship Award, Registration
            Plans; Curtiss - Migrant Meeting

        C. Superintendent's Report - Legislation Committee
            Member Nomination and Election, Negotiations
            Networking Session, State Apportionment,
            Article by Mrs. Moravek - "Good Things Are
            Happening at APS"

VI.    Public Comments on Agenda Items - RAC - Jay

VII.   Approved the Consent Agenda

VIII.  New Business

         A. Approved the Overnight Travel Request for
            March 14-15 to Laramie, WY for Show
            Choir Festival

         B. Approved the Overnight Travel Request for
            HighSchool Jazz Choir to Attend the Jazz
            Festival and Workshop in Columbus, NE on
            March 16-17

        C. Approved the Sunday Matinee Performance
           of the Spring Musical, "Hello Dolly" on April
           28 at 2:00 p.m.

       D. Approved a Letter Commendation be Submitted
           to the Guiding Star Girl Scout Council from
           Alliance Public Schools to Recognize the
           Accomplishments of Alliance High Seniors,
           Bridget Scherbarth and Amy Watson, as They
           Receive the Girl Scout Gold Award and
           Authorize the Superintendent to Submit the Letter

       E. Approved the Local Substitute Teacher
          Application for Heather Anne Taylor

       F. Motion to Postpone a Decision on RAC
          until March 17 Meeting Died for Lack of
          a Second

       G. Approved Not Operating Rural Attendance
          Centers in 2008-2009 and Not Dispose of
          Property with Possible Exception of 39 in
          2008-2009.

       H. Job Description & Title for Business Manager -
          No Action - Deferred to Personnel Committee

IX.   Adjourned to Executive Session at 8:57 p.m. for
       Personnel Contract Negotiations

X.    Returned to Regular Session at 9:31 p.m.

XI.   Meeting Adjourned at 9:32 p.m.
