After reading our basal story, "Guinea Pigs Don't Read Books," the first grade students at Emerson Elementary enjoyed a visit from a real guinea pig!!! We learned many interesting facts about guinea pigs and wanted to experience one for ourselves!
The Pet Depot of Alliance provided the guinea pig (unnamed) for our fun and learning! The guinea pig traveled to the 1st grade students throughout the afternoon and returned home in hopes of a new owner!
