Alliance Middle School    ~    Student-Parent Handbook

3.030 Lockers
Each student will be assigned his/her own locker. Students must use their own lockers and are not to share lockers with other students. We recommend that the locker is locked with a combination lock. Students may turn in an extra key to homeroom teachers if they choose to use a key lock.

School officials reserve the right to inspect school property including student lockers. The student lockers may be inspected at any time that is reasonable and necessary to maintain order, safety, and / or to recover other students property. Students are expected to keep all books, etc., in their assigned locker. Students are also responsible for the cleanliness inside their locker and the door of their locker. Students may be assessed a fine for damage to lockers. No reclosable containers commonly used for holding liquids will be permitted.

School lockers are the property of the school district and at no time does the Alliance School District relinquish its exclusive control of lockers provided for the convenience of students. Periodic general inspection of lockers may be conducted by school authorities for any reason at any time.

If any illegal substance or weapon is found in a school locker it will be seized and used in criminal proceedings.
